I am a Dutch born artist and writer and have been living in southern Spain since 2003. I have, so far, written eight books. My book Cheers, breaking the silence...one voice at a time (The book is also available in Dutch, Spanish and German), is based on real-life experiences of people from various countries and backgrounds, both alcoholics and those living with and affected by the behaviour of the alcoholic. Secret thoughts is a collection of quirky, sensual very short stories (also available in Spanish). I have published three books of a series called (The Art of Feeling Better) with visualisations and images of my free hand mandalas. Reflections from La Herradura tells the history and evolution of a magical seaside village in southern Spain told by its artists and visionaries who were attracted to the village (also available in Spanish). Memories of World War II, tells the story of a teenage boy living in a family in the Resistance in the Netherlands during the Second World War (also in Dutch) and Tapas of Tales is a bundle of often humorous short stories about living as an artist in Spain. Some books are also available in Kindle. For more information about my art and books please visit www.renatevannijen.com
