Marisol Rey Castillo is an educational researcher and university professor who has developed her career in the context of higher education in Colombia and Mexico since 2005. She has dedicated her career to exploring various aspects related to academic writing, academic reading, educational research, pedagogy and teaching in higher education, research methodology, teaching and learning Spanish as a foreign language, as well as the use of ICT in education. She has a solid academic background that supports her expertise in the educational field. She holds a Doctorate in Educational Innovation from the Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico, and she also obtained a Doctorate in Education with a specialization in applied linguistics from the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana UNINI, also in Mexico. In addition, she has a Master's degree in Spanish Linguistics from the prestigious Instituto Caro y Cuervo in Colombia, and a Bachelor's degree in Spanish and English from the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, also in Colombia. Throughout her career, Marisol has held teaching and research positions at various universities in Colombia, where she has made a significant impact in the educational field. Her work has focused on the study and promotion of academic writing in higher education, as well as the promotion of academic reading and educational research. She has also made contributions to pedagogy and teaching in higher education, providing innovative tools and strategies to improve teaching and learning processes. In addition to her teaching work, Dr. Rey Castillo has made significant contributions to advancing research in her field. She has published several books, book chapters, and scientific articles related to her areas of research. Her production has been recognized for their academic rigor and has contributed to the advancement of knowledge in her areas of expertise. She has also been a distinguished speaker at numerous scientific events, where she has shared her knowledge and experiences with the academic community.
